The Heritage of the Lord

Greetings Kingdom Citizens

Psalm 127:3: Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of His womb is his reward.

The sons of God are an heritage of the Lord. The word heritage in Hebrew is “nachalah” meaning possession. Hence the sons of God are a possession of the Lord.

Romans 8:15: For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father

We all who were born of Adam were all children of the devil until we made a decision to repent and make the Lord, ruler over our lives. When we made that decision, the old creature died and by the Father giving us the Spirit of His dear Son to dwell in our heart and give life to our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11) we are now adopted into the House of God. Even if we look in the natural world, the children of a household belong to the parents of that household. Hence we as the sons of God belong to the House of God (Ephesians 2:19).

The scripture goes on to say, “the fruit of the womb is his reward”. This is a very unique passage but one that any person who has children will truly understand. So let’s look naturally and bring it to the spiritual. Notice the scripture says the reward is HIS. All children are a blessing. Not one, no not one child is a curse to a parent. What ends up giving parents grief and perpetuating generational curses on children is what the parents do with them. This is why the foundation of the family is so crucial and that we have fathers in homes leading spiritually and teaching spiritually in their homes.

Ephesians 6:4: And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but BRING THEM UP IN THE NURTURE AND ADMONITION OF THE LORD.

This is why in a world of fatherless children, God is gracing the spiritual fathers in the Earth to bring the children to maturity. Children will be disobedient at some point the question is to what magnitude. However when children are in right position and right standing with their parents, parents tend to look back and can be proud to say this is the fruit of womb. This is how God views His children. When we do His Will we bring honor to Him and He can be look and say they are my children and the fruit of His womb. Is God ever disappointed in our actions and rebellion? Absolutely! It grieves Him because when we sin we do not represent Him. However it is His love that keeps us in His hand. Despite the actions we commit against Him, He still loves and knows that the expected end for us will be peace and a fulfilled life (Jeremiah 29:11).

Peace, Love and Grace,
